Chris Norton is a seasoned litigator with over 20 years of experience representing Fortune 500 companies, businesses, and individuals in high-stakes civil litigation. His practice spans pharmaceuticals, medical devices, FDA regulatory issues, and catastrophic injury claims, as well as the defense of governmental entities and skilled nursing facilities. He routinely handles sensitive, high-profile matters involving former athletes and public figures in state and federal courts nationwide.

Chris has significant experience defending clients in product liability, premises liability, catastrophic trucking and automotive accident litigation, as well as in the sports, recreation and entertainment industry. His practice also includes complex commercial disputes and professional liability actions involving real estate and insurance professionals.

Known for his strategic approach and relentless advocacy, Chris serves as national counsel and defense liaison counsel in mass tort and coordinated proceedings across California and beyond. He is regularly called upon to develop and implement global defense strategies, build trial themes and translate complex legal and technical issues into persuasive litigation narratives and effective problem solving. He is routinely called on by clients to navigate politically sensitive investigations with strategic precision.

Before joining Segal McCambridge, Chris practiced for nearly a decade at a prominent U.S. “Big Law” firm, where he litigated complex actions and defended pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in cutting-edge litigation.

Chris is committed to pro bono service and regularly partners with Public Counsel in Los Angeles, particularly in asylum cases for unaccompanied minors. A former college baseball player, he remains active in local baseball leagues and recently welcomed his first child with his wife.
