Nick Richardson is a seasoned litigator specializing his practice in insurance coverage and bad faith cases. For more than 7 years, he has dedicated his practice to helping clients resolve insurance disputes, representing both insurers and third-party administrators. He has an impressive track record in preparing in-depth coverage opinions and representing clients in declaratory judgment and bad-faith actions, involving various policies such as commercial general liability, property, business and personal auto, E&O and umbrella and excess policies.

Nick possesses an extensive knowledge of insurance law and exceptional skills in navigating complex coverage issues and has an impressive record of achieving favorable outcomes for his clients. He employs negotiation, mediation, and litigation to resolve disputes and has demonstrated proficiency in all three methods.

Apart from his focus on insurance coverage and bad faith, Nick has also worked on a broad range of other legal issues, including medical malpractice, premises liability, product liability, transportation, wrongful death and employment litigation. His depth of expertise and experience in insurance law has made him a go-to professional in the insurance industry.

Prior to joining the firm, Nick served as an associate at a litigation firm in Sarasota, Florida, where he represented insurance companies in construction defect matters and coverage disputes. Earlier in his career, Nick was an associate at a Chicago-based defense firm representing clients in medical malpractice, wrongful death, construction accident and other high-exposure litigation.

Nick is also active within the Defense Research Institute serving on the Young Lawyer Steering Committee and as a Young Lawyer liaison to the Insurance Law Committee. 

Nick earned his J.D. from the John Marshall Law School as well as an L.L.M. in employee benefits. While attending law school, he competed in a national moot court competition focusing on labor and employment law and earned a certificate in alternative dispute resolution. He holds a B.A. in criminology from the University of South Florida.

Nick spends his free time with his wife, son, and two dogs and his weekends golfing and exploring Southwest Florida’s expansive craft beer scene.
